Job summary

Ember Korowai Takitini | Nga Matapono is seeking an Employment Consultant to support clients across the greater Auckland region, with a permanent full-time role based from our Orewa hub and covering Orewa and Stanmore Bay. You will provide one-on-one guidance, develop tailored employment plans, and help people move from interviews to meaningful work.

The role involves building strong employer partnerships, meeting Ministry of Social Development targets, and delivering high-quality, confidential

Qualifications

• NZ Certificate Level 4 in Health and Wellbeing or equivalent (or working towards).
• Current Full NZ driver''s licence.
• Valid work visa, residency, or NZ citizenship.
• Experience in employment support or related services preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High integrity with ability to handle confidential matters.
• Motivation and resilience to meet targets and persevere.
• Passion for supporting others in recovery journey.

Responsibilities

• Identify career goals with clients and help them secure meaningful work.
• Provide one-on-one support and develop tailored employment plans.
• Guide clients through the job-seeking process from interviews to placements.
• Build and maintain partnerships with a diverse range of employers.
• Contribute to meeting MSD contract targets as part of the team.
