Job summary

Ember Employment in Orewa is hiring an Employment Consultant to help clients identify goals and secure meaningful work. You will provide one-on-one support, develop tailored employment plans, and guide clients from interviews to placements, while building partnerships with local employers.

This permanent, full-time role (40 hours/week) is based in Orewa, covering Orewa and Stanmore Bay. Pay rates are $25.63–$30.70 per hour, depending on qualifications.

Qualifications

• NZ Certificate Level 4 in Health & Wellbeing or working towards one.
• Valid work visa, residency, or NZ citizenship.
• Experience in employment support or related services preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Motivation and resilience to meet targets.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to clients to identify goals and secure work.
• Develop tailored employment plans and guide clients through interviews to placements.
• Build and maintain partnerships with a diverse range of employers.
• Help meet Ministry requirements and service targets as part of the team.
