Job summary

NZFix, based in Auckland, is seeking two full-time permanent Electronics Technicians to diagnose, repair and refurbish a range of consumer electronics. You will perform board-level repairs, micro-soldering, and component replacement, including displays, batteries and more, and conduct software troubleshooting and data handling.

You will work in a safety-conscious workshop, ensure quality control, document diagnostics and repairs, and collaborate with service staff to resolve complex cases while

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing faults in consumer electronics.
• Board-level repairs and micro-soldering experience.
• Ability to replace components (displays, batteries, etc.).
• Software troubleshooting and OS installation experience.
• Commitment to ESDS procedures and health & safety.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults in smartphones, laptops, desktops, tablets, smartwatches, gaming consoles and other devices.
• Perform board-level repairs, micro-soldering and component replacement as required.
• Replace displays, batteries, charging ports, cameras, speakers, keyboards and motherboards.
• Carry out software troubleshooting, OS installation, firmware updates and device configuration.
• Test, configure and prepare repaired devices prior to dispatch.
• Maintain high repair quality and minimise repeats and returns.
• Provide technical updates to customers and staff as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe workshop environment.
