Job summary

Vector Limited is seeking a Control Room Operator to monitor and control Auckland's electricity network, ensuring a safe, reliable and continuous power supply. You will work in a state‑of‑the‑art environment, participate in fault restoration and emergency response, and contribute to contingency planning and operational improvement.

Ideal applicants have SCADA/ADMS experience, a relevant qualification, and strong analytical and communication skills to perform under pressure during rostered

Qualifications

• Experience with electricity distribution networks or industrial settings preferred.
• SCADA/ADMS experience is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and analytical skills required under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor real-time operation of the electricity network to ensure safe, reliable supply.
• Initiate fault restoration and emergency response.
• Authorize and control field outages and operational activities.
• Support contingency planning and operational improvements.
• Provide technical and operational support and report system performance.
