Job summary

PowerCore Electrical, based in Auckland, seeks an experienced electrical professional to lead installations and testing across commercial and industrial projects. You will ensure top quality workmanship and strong safety practices while mentoring apprentices and coordinating with senior stakeholders.

The role offers a strong remuneration package (base $80K–$120K) with a performance bonus up to $2k, plus relocation support up to $1,000 and a vibrant team culture with regular social events.

Qualifications

• NZCE or similar tertiary qualification is required or high level electrical/HVAC understanding.
• Experience in commercial & industrial construction and maintenance is preferred.
• Organised with an eye for detail and practical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installations and testing.
• Ensure quality workmanship and safety standards.
• Train apprentices and supervise junior staff.
• Uphold health & safety responsibilities at all times.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders on projects.

PowerCore Electrical is an HVAC electrical and controls contracting, and maintenance provider based in Auckland’s Northshore.

We work on all sorts of real cool commercial and Industrial projects across the wider Auckland and Neighbouring cities including small to Large mechanical& Electrical projects, industrial electrical contracting & maintenance, PLC automation systems, and more, so much Variety there’s no boring days!

Your role will include:

• Electrical Installations and testing
• Quality Assurance in a positive efficient and productive manner with pride, excellent workmanship and quality
• Responsible for managing and training apprentice(s)
• Health & Safety responsibilities
• Work with senior stakeholders.

• NZCE qualified / similar tertiary qualification, or a high level of electrical & HVAC understanding
• Organised with an eye for detail
• Practical mindset and be able to think on your feet
• Take pride in your work and go the extra mile to make sure the job is top notch
• Experience with both commercial & industrial construction and maintenance work would help
