Qualifications

• Current EWRB Practising Licence (Registered Electrician).
• Experience repairing industrial equipment, including welding machines or similar electrical gear.
• Basic understanding of circuits and components (power supplies, rectifiers, capacitors, relays).
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Full NZ Driver Licence and own vehicle.
• Ability to work independently and manage jobs efficiently.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Physically fit to work in workshop and on customer sites.
• Must reside in New Zealand and have legal right to work.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and test welding machines and related equipment.
• Visit industrial sites across Auckland for on-site service.
• Read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Ensure safety and compliance during field and workshop work.

We are registered and practising Electricians, focused in the heavy welding industry and specialising in welder repairs for most types of welders.

We are currently seeking a Fully Qualified Electrician with a current EWRB Practising Licence to join our team on a long term contract (Full Time).

Key Requirements

• Current EWRB Practising Licence (Registered Electrician).
• Proven experience repairing industrial equipment, including welding machines, manufacturing machinery, or similar electrical equipment.
• Basic understanding of electronic circuits and components, including power supplies, rectifiers, capacitors, contactors, relays, transformers, and PCB fault finding.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Full New Zealand Driver Licence.
• Own reliable vehicle (a UTE is preferred).
• Ability to work independently and manage jobs efficiently.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Physically fit and able to work both in the workshop and on customer sites.
• Must currently reside in New Zealand and have the legal right to work in New Zealand.

Desirable Skills

• Experience repairing MIG, TIG, MMA and Plasma welding machines.
• Experience working with three-phase equipment and industrial electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using diagnostic test equipment such as multimeters, insulation testers and oscilloscopes.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience working with industrial machinery
