Job summary

Claymark in Te Kūiti is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to repair, maintain and install electrical equipment and systems across the site, supporting new or upgraded machinery.

You will work with maintenance engineers, operators and supervisors, uphold health and safety standards, and contribute to continuous improvements and site presentation.

Qualifications

• NZ Electrical Registration and current practising certificate required.
• PLC experience an advantage.
• Experience with sawmill scanning technology beneficial.
• Good physical fitness and a practical, mechanically minded approach.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and time management skills.
• A positive attitude, strong attention to detail and ability to work well with others.

Job description

Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, you will assist with electrical maintenance across sawmilling plant, machinery and buildings, support new or upgraded equipment installations, and provide technical backup where required. The role includes, helping identify improvements to existing plant, and supporting Claymark’s commitment to quality, health and safety, and high standards of site presentation.

Key responsibilities
