Job summary

Mercury is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support electrical workstreams across hydro and geothermal projects in New Zealand. You will help maintain, upgrade, and modernise critical infrastructure while collaborating with engineers, project managers, and contractors.

Qualifications

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects.
Well-developed problem-solving skills with practical solutions.
Experience with structured project delivery or stage-gate frameworks.
Knowledge of power generation, high-voltage systems, hydro/geothermal assets (beneficial).

Responsibilities

Deliver electrical engineering work across capital and asset improvement projects.
Build relationships with internal stakeholders, site teams, and contractors.
Assist with planning, design reviews, commissioning and technical assurance.
Prepare and review engineering documentation and specifications.
Contribute to continuous improvement of Mercury's engineering capability.
