Job summary

Fulton Hogan Limited is seeking a senior electrical leader in Christchurch to drive performance across the Electrical Department. You will lead and develop a team of electricians, manage pricing and delivery for internal and external works, and nurture strong client relationships to sustain ongoing workload.

The role requires solid senior leadership, technical electrical knowledge in industrial/.infrastructure settings, and a strong focus on safety, quality and commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a team and mentoring electricians.
• Solid experience in the electrical contracting industry.
• Experience in industrial electrical maintenance, infrastructure electrical works, ITS or traffic signals.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build trusted client relationships.
• Sound commercial and financial understanding.
• Ability to manage tendering, pricing and delivery outcomes.
• Full Class 1 driver licence.

• Oversee contract delivery to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

This is a key leadership role where you’ll drive performance across the department, support and develop a team of electricians, manage pricing and delivery across external and internal works, and help build strong client relationships that keep work moving. Our Christchurch Electrical Department delivers a specialised mix of external infrastructure and internal industrial electrical works across Canterbury.

• ITS and Traffic Signals maintenance and new installations
• Delivery of the NZTA ITS and Traffic Signals Maintenance Contract for Canterbury
• Internal electrical compliance works for quarries, asphalt and bitumen plants
• Industrial electrical maintenance across quarries, asphalt and bitumen plants

This is a varied leadership role with responsibility across both contract maintenance and project delivery, requiring someone who can lead people well, understand technical work, and balance safety, quality, delivery and commercial outcomes.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues
• Sound commercial and financial understanding
• The ability to manage tendering, pricing and delivery outcomes
• Full Class 1 driver licence
