Job summary

The Kraft Heinz Company is seeking an EHS Coordinator to join the Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand team. This site-based role focuses on maintaining HSE documents, leading risk assessments, and driving continuous improvement in safety, health and environmental compliance.

You will coordinate monthly HSE reporting, run safety committee meetings, and promote safe behaviours across the site. The role offers growth opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package as part of a global food leader.

Qualifications

  • Relevant Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) qualification and/or practical site experience.
  • Experience maintaining HSE documentation, records, and monthly reporting using reporting systems/tools.
  • Strong working knowledge of legal/regulatory HSE compliance requirements and how to apply them on site.
  • Demonstrated capability running risk assessments, maintaining risk registers, and verifying controls.
  • Experience leading or supporting audits/inspections, developing corrective action plans, and driving actions through to close-out.
  • Proven incident reporting and investigation experience, including root cause analysis and tracking preventive actions.
  • Contractor safety management experience (inductions, review of safety plans/method statements and on-site compliance monitoring).
  • Working knowledge of environmental compliance and hazardous substance management.

  • Track audit, inspection and compliance findings, and drive corrective actions through to verified close-out.
  • Support incident reporting and investigations, identify root causes, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
  • Manage contractor safety processes, including inductions, approvals, review of safety plans and monitoring on-site compliance.
  • Support environmental compliance, including monitoring programs, hazardous substance records, improvement initiatives and progress against site HSE objectives.

About you:

  • Working knowledge of environmental compliance and hazardous substance management (inventories, monitoring and improvement initiatives).
  • Incident investigation, risk assessment and any environmental certification would be beneficial.
  • Eligibility to work in NZ with full working rights.
