Job summary

Kumaravine - Celebrating Māori & Pasifika success is seeking a Psychologist to join the Learning Support team in Te Tai Tokerau. This permanent, full-time role is based in Kaitaia, Kerikeri or Whangārei and focuses on collaborative work with children, families and schools to enhance learning and wellbeing.

The successful candidate will have a Masters-level qualification, NZ Psychologist Board registration and a current Practising Certificate, with experience supporting children with challenging

Qualifications

• Masters-level qualification in psychology.
• Post-graduate Diploma in Educational Psychology or Clinical Psychology (or equivalent).
• NZ Psychologist Board registration and current Practicing Certificate.
• Experience supporting children and young people with challenging behaviours.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team around the child, including educators, parents, caregivers and whānau.
• Develop, implement, and monitor personalised learning plans.
• Support adults around the child to adjust learning environments for better behaviour and safety.
• Facilitate access to wider services and supports when needed (e.g., speech therapy, local agencies).
• Promote inclusive practices in schools and other educational settings.
