Job summary

Kumaravine - Celebrating Māori & Pasifika success is seeking a Permanent, Part Time Psychologist (0.8 FTE) in Auckland to deliver equitable psychological services for children and young people with additional learning needs. The role focuses on strengths-based assessments, collaborative goal setting and supporting schools and whānau.

Essential qualifications include a Post-graduate Diploma in Educational Psychology or Clinical Psychology and registration under the HPCA Act.

Qualifications

  • Post-graduate Diploma in Educational Psychology or Clinical Psychology or equivalent is required.
  • Registration under the Health Practitioner’s Competency Assurance Act is required.

Responsibilities

  • Apply a strengths-based approach.
  • Identify patterns or contributing factors affecting learning, wellbeing and behaviour.
  • Enhance inclusive practices in early learning services, schools and other educational settings.
  • Collaboratively support progress with learner goals.
  • Provide professional support and guidance to schools, teachers and parents/whānau, and support development and implementation of intervention plans.
  • Assess, analyse, hypothesise, collaboratively plan, support and monitor intervention plans for students with additional learning needs.
