Job summary

Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga, Te Mahau │ Education Services in Whanganui is seeking two full-time, permanent Psychologists to join our Learning Support team. You will work in a trans-disciplinary environment with a focus on equitable, excellent outcomes for students.

You will be NZ Registered Psychologist or be an Intern; hold a Master’s and a Post-graduate Diploma in Educational Psychology or equivalent, with strong culturally responsive practice and Te Ao Māori awareness.

Qualifications

• Must be a NZ Registered Psychologist under HPCA Act or registered as an Intern.
• Must hold a Master’s level qualification and a post-graduate Diploma in Educational Psychology or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to work across cultures, Te Ao Māori, and promote tikanga/Te Reo Māori.

Responsibilities

• Enhance inclusive practices in early learning services, schools and educational settings.
• Provide professional guidance to early learning centres, schools, teachers and families.
• Deliver specialist assessment and analysis for collaboratively planned interventions.
