Job summary

Creators Waipa is seeking a caring Education Support Worker to provide individualized support for two tamariki with additional learning and developmental needs in Te Awamutu.

This 12-hour-per-week role runs Thursdays and Fridays, 8.45am–2.45pm, working with our teaching team, whānau and external professionals to help tamariki engage and progress toward their goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in early intervention, ECE, education support or related field valued.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Warm, patient, observant and passionate about supporting children with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Support two tamariki to participate fully in kindergarten and progress toward individual goals.
• Assist with goal setting, documentation and observations.
• Support interventions to address gross and fine motor development and communication interventions.
• Contribute to social and emotional goal setting aligned with He Māpuna te Tamaiti.
• Liaise with external agencies to create continuity of care.
• Build strong, respectful relationships with tamariki, whānau and teaching staff.
• Participate in professional development to align practice with up-to-date pedagogy.

Creators Waipa is seeking a caring, capable and enthusiastic Education Support Worker (ESW) to provide individualised support for two tamariki with additional learning and developmental needs.

This is a 12-hour-per-week position, working Thursdays and Fridays, 8.45am–2.45pm.

About the role

Working alongside our teaching team, whānau and external professionals, you will support two tamariki to participate fully in kindergarten and progress towards their individual goals.

You will be a strong communicator, organised, collaborative and committed to ongoing learning. Experience in early intervention, ECE, education support or a related field would be valued.
