The Editorial Assistant plays a key support role across Fashion Quarterly's editorial team, helping bring both print and digital content to life. Write and assist with content for print and digital - including shorter articles, notebook pages, contributor round-ups, and research for longer features. Support the team in drafting and proofing both editorial and commercial content.
Film and edit short-form video content for social platforms (e.g. Reels, TikTok), supporting the team's video output for events, shoots, and day-to-day content.
Upload and schedule stories and posts across all social media, ensuring all content is styled and captioned in line with FQ's brand voice and visual identity.
Repurpose magazine articles and features for digital.
Assist in curating and compiling the weekly newsletter.
Work closely with the editorial and digital teams to help plan and schedule content aligned with the editorial calendar. Collaborate with designers, photographers, and other creatives on content production.
Assist with responding to comments and messages across social channels, helping foster conversations aligned with the brand's voice.
Stay across the latest in fashion, beauty, and culture, and help translate trends into fresh story ideas.
Attend fashion shows, events, and press launches alongside the team, helping capture real-time content and behind-the-scenes coverage.
Provide day-to-day admin support to the editorial team and inbox triaging.
Entry-level - ideal for a recent graduate or someone with some internship/freelance writing experience in fashion, beauty, or lifestyle media.
Strong writing and editing ability.
Comfortable filming and editing short-form video, and confident uploading/scheduling content across social platforms, with a good eye for maintaining a consistent brand aesthetic.
A creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and a genuine love of storytelling.
