Job summary

Woolworths Group New Zealand is seeking a hands-on processes leader to manage and optimise the daily flow for an assigned workstream, ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.

You’ll lead a small team (swarm), coach staff, and step in as Acting Store Manager on shifts, with a strong emphasis on safety, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a retail or logistics environment.
• Ability to follow guidelines and maintain process flow.
• Willingness to work weekend shifts and evenings.

• Process Management & Order Fulfillment: Follows set routines for timely and accurate process completion, ensuring online orders are picked correctly and fresh food quality meets standards.
• Team Leadership & Supervision: Leads the team ("swarm") to ensure correct work completion, provides on-the-job training and coaching, and steps up as Acting Store Manager on scheduled shifts.
• Issue Resolution & Escalation: Identifies and timely escalates process-related issues to the Function Lead for effective resolution.
• Safety & Wellbeing Advocacy: Champions a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to safety protocols, reporting hazards, and prioritizing team wellbeing.
• Collaboration & Communication: Actively participates in team collaboration and communication initiatives to foster a positive work environment.
