Job summary

Woolworths Group NZ in Napier is seeking a hands-on operations lead to manage daily store routines, lead a swarm of team members, and ensure shelves and deliveries meet Woolworths standards. You’ll guide on-the-job training, champion a safe work environment, and drive efficient store operations within a vibrant team.

The role emphasizes strong process discipline, cross-functional collaboration, and proactive issue resolution, with opportunities to grow within a large NZ and regional network.

Responsibilities

• Execute Operations & Stock Management: lead routines, run the swarm to fill shelves and manage deliveries to standards.
• Team Leadership & Development: on-job training, coaching, and maintaining a safe healthy work environment.
• Maintain Store Standards: ensure correct stocking and packaging, manage overstocks effectively.
• Resolve Issues Proactively: escalate process issues to Function Lead for timely resolution.
• Contribute to Store Leadership: act as Store Manager on shifts and participate in team connections.

• Execute Operations & Stock Management: Ensure accurate and timely completion of routines, leading the "swarm" to correctly handle tasks, and overseeing all teams to fill shelves and manage deliveries according to standards.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead on-job training and coaching for team members, and champion a safe and healthy work environment.
• Maintain Store Standards: Ensure all teams are filling to correct standards, prioritize shelf-friendly packaging, and manage overstocks effectively.
• Resolve Issues Proactively: Timely elevate process-related issues to the Function Lead for resolution.
• Contribute to Store Leadership: Step up as Acting Store Manager on scheduled shifts and actively participate in "Better Together" connections to foster team collaboration.
