Job summary

WM New Zealand is seeking a Labourer to support daily site operations and general maintenance. You will work with the team to keep the site safe, efficient and compliant with daily and contractual requirements.

Key tasks include loading, unloading, sorting waste, maintaining housekeeping, and completing records accurately. You will also prepare and operate plant and equipment as directed and perform safety checks with the team.

Qualifications

• Experience in the waste industry is desirable.
• Class 1 driver's licence with WTR endorsement desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and able to undertake labouring duties.

Responsibilities

• Undertake a range of labouring duties including loading, unloading, collecting and sorting waste.
• Maintain a high standard of general housekeeping across the site.
• Complete all records, reporting and paperwork accurately and on time.
• Prepare and operate plant and equipment in accordance with company procedures, while providing assistance and support to other team members as required.
• Carry out daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment, including assisting with cleaning and general upkeep.
• Maintain a professional image of the company and consistently deliver a high standard of service.
