Job summary

All About Children Greta Point is seeking an experienced, driven centre manager to lead our established Wellington centre. Working with a supportive senior leadership team, you will ensure the centre thrives while maintaining high standards of care and education.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, drive enrolment growth, maintain regulatory compliance, mentor the teaching team and build strong relationships with families and the local community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education or Diploma in Teaching (ECE) – Level 7 with current full teacher registration.
• Proven leadership experience in the Early Childhood Education sector.
• Strong understanding of centre operations, administration and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to build and maintain occupancy/enrolment levels.
• Excellent business acumen and ability to monitor and improve centre performance.
• Ability to build strong relationships with families and engage with the local community.
• Exceptional organisational, communication and time-management skills.
• Experience leading, mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
• Sound knowledge of Te Whariki, Education Council requirements, ERO expectations, MOE regulations, Licensing Criteria (2008) and Code of Professional Responsibility.
• Proactive, solutions-focused and committed to continuous improvement.
• Energy, resilience, innovation and genuine passion for early childhood education.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the centre.
• Drive enrolment growth and maintain strong occupancy levels.
• Oversee administration, compliance and centre performance.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective families.
• Support, mentor and inspire the teaching team.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and licensing requirements.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to achieve organisational goals and centre success.
• Above industry standard salary plus KPI incentives for the right candidate.
• Full payment of Teacher Registration and First Aid certification.
