Job summary

Busy Bees Kerikeri is seeking expressions of interest for a permanent, full‑time Centre Manager role commencing March 2027. Lead a passionate team in a community‑focused centre, delivering high‑quality care and education while aligning with Te Whāriki and licensing standards.

You will mentor kaiako, manage occupancy and rosters, and drive centre strategy within a supportive national network. Right to work in New Zealand required.

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or NZQA approved qualification.
• Bring proven leadership experience in the ECE sector with a passion for coaching staff.
• Knowledge of Te Whāriki, MOE/ERO Regulations, Licensing Criteria and Teaching Council requirements.
• Experience with enrolments, rosters and occupancy targets using childcare software.
• Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and weaving Reo Māori and tikanga daily.

Responsibilities

• Lead centre performance and build a high‑performing team.
• Deliver quality care and education with a focus on compliance and financial targets.
• Mentor kaiako through Professional Growth Cycles and 1:1 developmental discussions.
• Implement centre‑specific strategic plans and evaluate internal curriculum.
• Manage occupancy, enrolments and staff rosters to meet targets.
• Build strong community connections and be the centre’s visible face.
