Stantec in New Zealand is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer (Power) to join our team across multiple NZ locations. You’ll work with experienced engineers on electrical projects, gaining practical design and delivery experience through the 2-year Engineering NZ Accredited graduate development programme.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, be graduating in 2026 or earlier, and enjoy problem solving, collaboration, and learning.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with expected completion before employment.
• Willingness to obtain driving licence (preferable).

Responsabilidades

• Perform engineering calculations using industry-standard software.

What you'll do?

As a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to contribute to the design and delivery of electrical engineering projects. You'll gain hands-on experience across the project lifecycle while developing your technical, analytical, and professional skills.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate who is eager to learn, collaborate, and apply your new university studies to real-world engineering challenges.

Your Role:

• Assist with the investigation, analysis, and design of electrical engineering systems and components.
• Perform engineering calculations using industry-standard and specialist software.
• Support the preparation of electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, reports, and presentations.
• Assist with developing electrical designs in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineers and multidisciplinary project teams to deliver innovative engineering solutions
• Support construction-phase activities, including reviewing contractor submissions, responding to technical queries, and assisting with design clarifications
• Undertake site visits and field work to gain practical project experience
• Contribute to a positive team culture while continuing to build your technical expertise and professional network

Eligibility :

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar with expected completion before commencing employment. (Approx January - February 2027)
