Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced E-commerce SEO Specialist to boost organic visibility for a Queenstown-based online retailer. You will develop and implement SEO strategies, perform keyword research, and optimize on-page, technical, and off-page factors to drive qualified traffic.

You will collaborate with content and development teams, monitor performance with GA/SEMrush, and report insights to stakeholders. The role offers a hybrid work model with in-office and remote options.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an SEO Specialist, with strong e-commerce focus.
Successful in improving organic rankings and driving qualified traffic.
Strong knowledge of technical SEO, site architecture, schema markup, and mobile optimization.
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to SEO.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough keyword research to identify growth opportunities.
Perform on-page optimization including meta tags, content improvements, and internal linking.
Develop and implement off-page SEO strategies with link building and digital PR.
Conduct technical SEO audits to resolve crawl/indexing issues and improve performance.
Monitor traffic, rankings, and SEO performance using GA and SEMrush.
Stay up-to-date with search engine algorithms and best practices.
Collaborate with content creators and developers to implement SEO recommendations.
Improve user experience and site speed from an SEO perspective.
Analyze competitor strategies and identify opportunities for competitive advantage.
Report SEO performance and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
