Job summary

ACG Strathallan College seeks an experienced Primary Physical Education (PE) teacher to join our team from term 1, 2027. The role covers Years 1–6 and requires delivering motivating and differentiated PE lessons aligned with Cambridge curriculum and school expectations.

The successful candidate will coach school sports teams, contribute to extracurricular life, and collaborate across departments to support student wellbeing and achievement.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with current NZ registration.
• Experience delivering primary PE aligned to Cambridge curriculum.
• Ability to coach school sports teams and lead student activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons for Years 1–6.
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment and monitor student progress.
• Assess and report on student progress to parents and colleagues.
• Contribute to extracurricular activities, events and pastoral care.
• Coach school sports teams and promote teamwork and participation.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and curriculum delivery.
• Uphold safeguarding and health and safety standards.
