Job summary

Enphase Energy is seeking an Electrical/Electronics Engineer to lead a small team of DVT and lab engineers in Christchurch. You will drive design verification testing, manage schedules and resources for a complex programme, and report to the Director of Inverter Technology.

The role initially has 3–6 direct reports, with responsibility for coordinating cross-functional testing across firmware, mechanical, and hardware domains, maintaining lab equipment, and ensuring test cases cover all product

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 8+ years’ experience in design verification testing (DVT) or product validation across full lifecycle.
• Experience in leading and managing other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Meeting quarterly project progress targets and milestones.
• Professional development of your team.
• Representing your team in Performance Focal Group and Promotion Review Board.
• Coordinate testing schedules and resourcing across DVT and lab teams.
• Own the lab space, maintain test equipment, ensure safety and standards.
• Write test cases to cover all product requirements across firmware, mechanical, and hardware.
• Identify, specify, and order new lab/test equipment.
• Plan and execute DVT and reliability testing programs.
• Engage cross-functionally with hardware, firmware, manufacturing, and procurement teams.
• Resolve test requirement conflicts and ensure policy/standard compliance.
