Job summary

The Redoubt Bar and Eatery Te Awamutu in the Waikato is seeking 2 Bar & Restaurant Duty Managers to join our busy hospitality venue. The roles are full-time, with weekend and late-night shifts, minimum 32 hours per week and up to 45 hours.

You will manage shifts, support restaurant and bar operations, ensure licensing compliance, staff training, recruitment, and upsell food and drinks. LCQ qualifications and a manager certificate preferred; visa/work rights required.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months hospitality/customer service/retail experience, including at least 3 months in hospitality.
• LCQ qualifications and manager certificate preferred to serve liquor.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a welcoming environment within the bar and restaurant at all times.
• Keep up to date with liquor licensing legislation and safety rules.
• Follow health and safety rules for staff and customers.
• Lead daily cleaning schedule with the team.
• Upsell food and beverages and manage stock and bar display.
• Assist with staff training, recruitment, and menu changes.
• Support management with cost controls, budgeting and stock handling.
