Job summary

Downer invites you to join the Invercargill team as a Driver/Operator, operating heavy machinery on civil projects, and supporting road and infrastructure maintenance across the region.

You'll need a Full Class 4/5 Licence, prior road construction experience, and a passion for outdoor work. If you work safely and efficiently, this role offers hands-on discipline and a clear pathway within NZ's leading infrastructure company.

Qualifications

• Valid Full Class 4/5 Driver Licence (minimum).
• Practical work experience in road construction and civil works.
• Ability to work outdoors and stay physically fit.
• Commitment to safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery and vehicles (e.g., sprayers and trucks) on civil projects.
• Prepare sites and undertake a range of civil activities.
• Contribute to road and infrastructure maintenance across Invercargill region.

Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity

As a Driver Operator for one of the largest infrastructure business' in New Zealand, you will be involved in exciting projects requiring you to pick up civil work, the operation of heavy machinery and preparation of sites. You will be tasked with undertaking a range of civil activities operating a range of machinery such as sprayers and trucks.

If you are physically fit and enjoy spending your days outdoors and on your feet, this could be the position for you.

Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills

You’ll be a team player and confident operating independently as required. You’ll also have:

• A Full Class 4/5 Driver Licence at minimum
