Job summary

InterGroup in Auckland is seeking an experienced Class 4 Driver/Operator to join our team. This hands-on role involves hydro excavation, vacuum loading, high pressure cleaning and other specialist services across Auckland sites.

You will drive and operate Class 4 vehicles, perform checks, complete job records and work safely with your crew. Training is provided for the right person, with a strong work ethic and commitment to health and safety.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class 4 NZ Driver Licence.
• Experience operating heavy vehicles is essential.
• Commitment to safety and physical, outdoor work requirements.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate Class 4 vehicles on varied sites across Auckland.
• Operate vacuum, hydro excavation, water blasting and related equipment.
• Set up and pack down equipment; perform routine checks.
• Complete job records and ensure documentation is accurate.
• Collaborate with crew to complete tasks safely and efficiently.

InterGroup is looking for an experienced Class 4 Driver / Operator to join our Auckland team.

This is a varied, hands‑on role that goes beyond driving. You will be involved in a range of operational activities including hydro excavation, vacuum loading, high pressure pipeline cleaning, and other specialist services.

Every day is different, with a variety of sites, projects and challenges across Auckland region.

No experience with our specialist equipment? No problem. We’ll provide training for the right person.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be involved in a wide range of infrastructure work, including:

• Driving and operating Class 4 vehicles


• Operating vacuum, water blasting, suction and associated equipment


• Hydro excavation and vacuum loading


• Setting up and packing down equipment


• Carrying out daily vehicle and equipment checks


• Getting hands‑on with manual work when required


• Completing job records and documentation


• Working closely with your crew to get the job done safely, efficiently and to a high standard

You’ll work across different Auckland sites, so if you enjoy variety, being outdoors and working with a great crew, you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Bring

You’ll need:

• A full Class 4 NZ Driver Licence


• Experience operating heavy vehicles

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience with vacuum trucks, drainage or specialist equipment is an advantage, but it’s not essential. If you’ve got the right attitude, we’ll help you learn the rest.
