Job summary

Modern Transport Group of Companies’ Hamilton-based team is seeking a Draughtsman to prepare fabrication drawings, BOMs, schematics and assembly instructions from senior engineers’ designs. The role offers progression toward a design engineer position and exposure to bespoke heavy transport projects.

The successful candidate will have strong English, experience in transport, and proficiency with SolidWorks or AutoCAD, plus good mechanical aptitude and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Strong English communicator both written and verbal.
• Experience in transport and an understanding of the Land Transport rules is preferable.
• Experience in SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Good mechanical aptitude and be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Producing fabrication drawings and quality control documentation for the production team.
• Producing staged bills of materials for projects.
• Producing schematics and assembly instructions.
• Detailing machined parts.
• Project and quality management.
• Design analysis and technical problem solving
