Job summary

Premier Staffing Solutions is assisting a family‑owned civil drainage contractor in Auckland to find an experienced drainlayer foreman. You’ll operate up to 30 tonne excavators and oversee two small teams, ensuring projects stay on programme with high quality workmanship and coordinated materials on site.

Requirements include 5+ years in civil drainage, WTR endorsements and a class 2 licence, plus the ability to read and implement plans.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in civil drainage is required
• Must hold W,T,R endorsements and class 2 licence
• Expert operator of up to 30 tonne excavators
• Able to read and implement plans
• Auckland wide travel with full working rights in NZ

Responsibilities

• Lead from the front and manage two small teams

• Ensure work complies with plans and specs
• Work Auckland wide from Pukekohe to Silverdale/Wainui

Job description

Our client is a family business that specializes in the civil drainage sector. They have an extremely healthy pipeline of work ahead and are looking for an experienced drainlayer foreman to join the team. You will be on the machines, mostly the 30 tonne excavator, and required to run two small teams from your seat. At times there will be projects running in unison, you will be required to be across these and ensure the jobs stay on programme, quality of workmanship is high, and materials are coordinated on the job sites. This is a permanent position.

We are after someone that is going to lead from the front.

Auckland wide travel will be required for this role.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in the civil drainage sector
• Must hold W,T,R endorsements and class 2 licence
• Expert in machine operation - You will be required to confidently operate up to 30 tonne excavators
• Confident digging around key services, digging to level and final trim, with deep drainage expertise.
• Can read and implement plans
• Auckland wide travel required - Work is Auckland wide with projects ranging from Pukekohe up to Silverdale/Wainui.
• Good communication and proven leadership skills
• Someone that will go hard, drive programme and the team.
• Must hold FULL working rights in New Zealand

Preferred but not essential:

• Be certified or registered drainlayer is highly beneficial
