Job summary

Fulton Hogan is seeking a Drainage Operator to join our Drainage team in Central Otago. You will assist with installing drainage systems, support trenching and pipe laying, and help keep sites running efficiently to deliver reliable water infrastructure.

This hands-on outdoor role covers drainage sites, working with the team to progress projects safely and on schedule. A Class 1 licence is required, with Class 4 and WTR endorsements preferred. Training and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and able to carry out manual labour in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow directions on site.
• Prior drainage or outdoor work experience is an advantage.
• Full Class 1 driver licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Support the installation and maintenance of drainage systems on site.
• Operate hand tools and assist with machinery where required.
• Prepare trenches, lay pipes, and complete backfilling tasks.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised worksite.
• Work closely with your team to keep jobs running safely and on track.
• Follow instructions from supervisors to deliver quality work on time.
