Job summary

Fulton Hogan Ltd is seeking a hands-on plant operator to support state highway maintenance in Central Otago. You will operate a range of plant, perform drainage, pavement repairs and earthworks, and contribute to the safe, efficient delivery of works.

You will hold a Class 2–5 licence with WTR endorsements, a strong health and safety mindset, and the ability to work well in a team. Training and development opportunities are available to support career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience operating civil construction plant and roading maintenance is advantageous.
• Must have Class 2, 4 or 5 Driver Licence and WTR endorsements.
• Strong health and safety commitment; good problem-solving and teamwork.
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, loaders, rollers, graders, and other plant safely and efficiently.
• Carry out drainage, surfacing and pavement repairs and renewals, earthworks and general civil works.
• Complete daily plant inspections and basic maintenance.
• Support traffic management and emergency response activities.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Work with the wider team to deliver safe, productive outcomes.
