Job summary

CORDE is seeking an experienced Drainage Foreman to lead a three-person crew in delivering drainage renewals and new infrastructure across Selwyn. You will guide day-to-day site activities, coordinate plant, labour and resources, and ensure accurate onsite documentation while managing subcontractors, suppliers and client relationships.

The role requires leadership, clear communication, and the ability to work to a defined programme.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Water or Pipeline Construction.
• Experience in the field as a Foreman or Leading Hand in Civil Construction/ Drainage.
• CCC authorised / NZ registered (preferable).
• A Class 1 Driver Licence with WTR endorsements.
• Proven leadership ability, including mentorship and training.
• Clear communication and time management skills.
• Ability to work to and manage the work program.
• Physical fitness and a good work ethic.
• A safety-first mindset and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew of three to deliver drainage renewals and new infrastructure.
• Provide leadership through day-to-day site activities, coordinating plant, labour and resources.
• Be responsible for all onsite documentation and reporting.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers and client relationships.
• Work to and manage the overall project programme.
