Job summary

Citycare Water in Christchurch is seeking an experienced Construction Foreperson to lead our drainage crew, plan daily site activities, and install, repair, and maintain stormwater and wastewater infrastructure while ensuring all works meet contract, quality, and compliance requirements.

You will liaise with project managers, clients, subcontractors and internal teams; monitor productivity and resource needs; and mentor team members while upholding a strong health and safety culture across the

Qualifications

• Experience supervising crews in civil construction or related industries.
• Extensive knowledge of stormwater, wastewater and civil works.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• A commitment to health, safety and environmental excellence.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients, contractors and internal teams.
• Drainlaying qualification and full Class 1 licence with Class 2 and WTR endorsements are highly advantageous.

The role involves:

• Ensuring all works meet contract, quality, and compliance requirements.
• Promoting a strong health and safety culture across the team.

• Monitoring productivity, programme delivery, and resource requirements.
• Supporting the development and mentoring of team members.

What you’ll need:

• Experience supervising crews in civil construction, utilities, infrastructure pr a related industry.
• Extensive knowledge of stormwater, wastewater, and civil construction works.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
• A commitment to health, safety and environmental excellence.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Confidence working collaboratively with clients, contractors and internal teams.
• A Drainlaying qualification, Full Class 1 licence, with Class 2 and WTR endorsements are highly advantageous.
