Job summary

You will empower colleagues to deliver evidence-based services and promote equity of health for Māori, while collaborating with Allied Health Directors and partners to enhance efficiency and patient safety across the district.

Qualifications

• New Zealand registered physiotherapist with advanced practitioner level experience.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for district-wide physiotherapy professional leadership.
• Lead excellence in governance, quality practice and professional conduct; contribute to new models of care and workforce development.
• Empower physiotherapists to deliver contemporary evidence-based health and disability services; promote equity of health provision for Māori; improve population health.
• Provide advice and collaborate with Directors of Allied Health and operational partners to promote efficiency, productivity, and patient safety.
• Strategic thinking to enable innovation and collaboration; oversee credentialing of workforce; advise on workforce development and career pathways.
