Job summary

GPC Asia Pacific is seeking an experienced Distribution Centre Manager to lead the Auckland Distribution Centre, delivering safe, efficient and customer‑focused warehouse operations. You will lead a high‑performing team, drive continuous improvement and ensure service, quality, productivity and financial targets are met.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in a distribution centre, warehouse, logistics or supply chain environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and deliver results against safety, service, productivity, KPI and financial targets.
• Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety practices, with a genuine commitment to creating a safe workplace.
• Experience in inventory management, warehouse systems, labour planning and volume forecasting.
• A continuous‑improvement mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities and implement practical solutions.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance customer, operational and cost requirements.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder‑management and relationship‑building skills, with a collaborative and accountable leadership style.
• Strong planning, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, with a high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day‑to‑day operation of the Distribution Centre, ensuring performance targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
• Champion a proactive health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
• Lead, coach and develop the DC leadership team and team members to build capability and performance.
• Monitor and improve operational performance across safety, service, cost, quality and productivity measures.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance warehouse processes, customer service and operational efficiency.
• Ensure effective labour planning, volume forecasting and resource allocation.
• Maintain accurate inventory control and safeguard the security and integrity of site stock, facilities and assets.
• Oversee site administration and ensure data is accurate, timely and fit for purpose.
• Partner with internal stakeholders, suppliers and freight and transport teams to resolve operational issues and maximise outcomes.
• Lead regular safety meetings, investigate incidents and proactively address risks and hazards.
