Job summary

The Reserve Bank - Te Pūtea Matua invites applications for the Director of Prudential Supervision, a pivotal leadership role in shaping NZ's financial stability. You will set direction for a modern, risk-based supervisory function and lead frontline supervision of licensed entities from banks to insurers.

You will work with the Leadership Team to drive strategic priorities, engage with regulated entities and key stakeholders, and model strong leadership and governance.

Qualifications

• Proven track record guiding risk-based regulatory outcomes.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Ability to engage senior leaders and boards on complex matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontline prudential supervision of licensed deposit takers and insurers.
• Set strategic priorities aligned with statutory objectives and financial stability mandate.
• Represent the regulator with regulated entities, domestic agencies and key stakeholders.
• Modernise supervision through group-wide strategies and programmes.
