Job summary

Worley, a全球 energy, chemicals and resources leader, seeks a Business Development Director to drive growth across New Zealand. The role reports to the Managing Director and is a senior member of the Leadership Team, heading up the sales function and catalysing growth across the business.

Based in Auckland, New Plymouth or Wellington, you will leverage your engineering/project management background and extensive BD network to win opportunities, build strategic relationships and lead bid activity

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification (degree or equivalent).
• Extensive business development experience in related field with project delivery exposure.
• Ability to engage with C-suite executives at senior levels.
• Proven success in bidding and proposal development.

Responsibilities

• Create & implement business strategies to facilitate company growth.
• Identify and develop strategic relationships with partners and potential customers.
• Identify, bid and secure opportunities with existing, target and new customers.

We’re looking for a Business Development Director to join our New Zealand team, ideally located in either Auckland, New Plymouth or Wellington.

Reporting to our Managing Director and being a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, as our Business Development Director you’ll head up our sales function and be responsible for catalysing growth across our entire business. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior sales professional with a strong engineering, project management or construction background to join our mission to be the leading project delivery company in Aotearoa.

In New Zealand we have 6 offices spread across the country and work for a diverse range of clients focused on the energy, water, and industrial sectors. We love solving complex problems and get involved at the first stages of engineering and consulting to the last stages of installation and commissioning.

The Role Responsibilities Include

What You’ll Bring

• A strong understanding of the New Zealand engineering & contracting market in the energy, water, and industrial sectors
• A developed customer network across both islands.
• A tertiary qualification.
• Extensive business development experience in a related field, with project delivery exposure highly desirable.
• Ability to work at C-suite level.
• Proven, successful bid and proposal participation.
• Effective communicator with the ability to persuade and influence others during presentations.
• Must have the right to live and work in New Zealand to be considered.
