Job summary

Worley seeks a Director of Business Development to lead our New Zealand team from Auckland, New Plymouth, or Wellington. You will head up the sales function, catalyse growth across our engineering and project delivery portfolio, and report to the Managing Director as part of the Senior Leadership Team.

You’ll drive strategic partnerships, bid opportunities, and leverage Worley’s global resources to position the company as the leading project delivery partner in Aotearoa.

Qualifications

• Senior sales/BD leadership experience in engineering, energy, water, or industrial sectors.
• Extensive network across New Zealand.
• Tertiary qualification and right to live and work in NZ.
• Experience engaging with C-suite stakeholders.
• Proven track record of bidding and winning contracts.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for aBusiness Development Director to join our New Zealand team, ideally located in either Auckland, New Plymouth or Wellington.

Reporting to our Managing Director and being a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, as ourBusiness Development Directoryou’ll head up our sales function and be responsible for catalysing growth across our entire business. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior sales professional with a strong engineering, project management or construction background to join our mission to be the leading project delivery company in Aotearoa.

The Role Responsibilities Include

What You’ll Bring

• A strong understanding of the New Zealand engineering & contracting market in the energy, water, and industrial sectors
• A developed customer network across both islands.
• A tertiary qualification.
• Extensive business development experience in a related field, with project delivery exposure highly desirable.
• Ability to work at C-suite level.
• Proven, successful bid and proposal participation.
• Effective communicator with the ability to persuade and influence others during presentations.
• Must have the right to live and work in New Zealand to be considered.
