Job summary

The University of Waikato is hiring a Digital Capability Enablement Specialist to drive digital capability across the University. You will develop an enablement programme and coordinate resources for adoption of core applications and services, including M365 and AI-enabled tools.

You will create online resources, engage diverse audiences and collaborate with ITS, SMEs, and external providers to ensure accessible, audience-focused guidance.

Qualifications

• Experience in digital training, education or capability uplift, plus understanding of change management and technology adoption.
• Knowledge of modern digital workplace tools, including M365 and AI-enabled tools.
• Experience creating online and on-demand resources (videos, FAQs, SharePoint-based resources).
• Strong communication and ability to engage effectively with different audiences.
• Ability to collaborate with technical specialists, project teams and external providers.

• Shape digital capability across the University.
• Enable confident adoption of digital technologies.
• Create accessible, user-focused digital resources.
• Coordinate a structured Digital Capability Enablement programme.
• Develop communication collateral for Tech Hub and Tech News.
