Job summary

Beverley International NZ Ltd is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician in Canterbury, New Zealand, to service and repair heavy commercial vehicles within a well-established heavy vehicle operation.

The role requires proven mechanical and diagnostic abilities, with knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and braking systems. A full, clean driver’s licence is essential, and Class 2 or higher licences are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Diesel Mechanic or automotive trade qualification.
• Experience on heavy commercial vehicles.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Understanding of electrical, hydraulic and braking systems.
• Experience with modern diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Full, clean driver''s licence
• Class 2 licence advantageous

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing heavy commercial vehicles.
• Preventative maintenance and servicing.
• Diagnosing faults (mechanical, electrical, electronic).
• Engine, cooling, braking and driveline repairs.
• Diagnosing hydraulic and air systems.
• Major mechanical repairs and component replacements.
• Responding to breakdowns and getting vehicles back on the road
