Job summary

Waikato Garage Doors in Hamilton is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. You will diagnose, repair and service diesel vehicles, working independently to a high standard in a busy workshop environment.

We offer an excellent hourly rate (NZD 30–36) depending on experience, with on-site training and a supportive, close-knit team culture. Join a long-established NZ-owned business contributing to growth and safety in every job.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ working experience with Diesel vehicles
• Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
• Passion and drive to grow your role within the company
• HT License, Hi-ab and/or welding experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic testing and carry out necessary diesel vehicle repairs.
• Dismantling and removing diesel engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components.
• Performing scheduled maintenance services on diesel vehicles
• Assist with general servicing and COF checks when required.
