Job summary

X-ray Professionals in Auckland, North Island, is seeking a radiographer to join our independent private practice. The successful applicant will mainly work at the Otahuhu clinic, providing high-quality general radiography to referrals from GPs and specialists.

Monday-to-Friday daytime hours with no public holiday work. You will work with new digital X-ray equipment, be comfortable taking ownership of daily workflows, and enjoy a friendly small-team environment with support from our Northcote

Qualifications

• Must be MRTB registered in NZ.
• Must hold or be eligible for NZ APC.
• Strong radiography and positioning skills.
• Excellent patient-care and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of general diagnostic X-ray examinations.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Provide patient-centred care and professional service.
• Verify referrals and ensure examinations are clinically appropriate.

X-ray Professionals – Auckland, North Island

This is an excellent opportunity for a radiographer who enjoys working independently and would like to move away from hospital shift work into a Monday-to-Friday community-based position. The successful applicant will primarily work at the Otahuhu clinic and will be responsible for providing high-quality general radiography services to patients referred by GPs, physiotherapists, chiropractors, osteopaths and specialists. The clinic will operate with new digital X-ray equipment, including a Fujifilm Smart X system with DEVO III detector technology. As a small business, we are looking for someone who is friendly, reliable, flexible and comfortable taking ownership of the day-to-day clinical workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of general diagnostic X-ray examinations.
• Produce consistently high-quality diagnostic images.
• Provide professional, compassionate and patient-centred care.
• Verify referrals and ensure examinations are clinically appropriate.
• Maintain excellent radiation safety practices.
• Follow MRTB, clinical and organisational policies and procedures.
• Work efficiently while managing the daily patient workflow.
• Liaise professionally with referrers, patients and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate patient and examination records.
• Assist with general clinical duties associated with running a community X-ray service.

About you

• Be registered as a Medical Imaging Technologist with the Medical Radiation Technologists Board of New Zealand (MRTB).
• Hold a current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate (APC), or be eligible to obtain one before commencing employment.
• Have strong general radiography and positioning skills.
• Be confident working independently.
• Have excellent communication and patient-care skills.
• Be reliable, organised and professional.
• Be comfortable working in a smaller community/private practice environment.
• Have the legal right to work in New Zealand.

X-ray Professionals is a small, independently owned Auckland diagnostic imaging business providing general X-ray services. We currently operate an established clinic at NorthMed in Northcote and are opening our second clinic within Lifeline Medical Centre in Otahuhu.
