ID Medical in New Zealand is seeking an experienced Diagnostic and/or Interventional Radiologist to deliver high-quality imaging across acute, elective, inpatient and outpatient settings.

The role requires fellowship in radiology (FRANZCR or equivalent) and eligibility for NZ Medical Council registration; you will provide expert interpretation, contribute to MDT meetings, and support on-call reporting.

Qualifications

  • Fellowship or equivalent radiology qualification (FRANZCR or international equivalent).
  • Eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
  • Experience in diagnostic radiology and/or interventional radiology.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert interpretation and reporting of CT, MRI, ultrasound, and plain radiography.
  • Perform and report on interventional radiology procedures, depending on subspecialty interest and service needs.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and support clinical decision-making.
  • Support acute and elective imaging services across inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Participate in on-call or after-hours reporting rosters as required by the service.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and clinically relevant reporting in line with standards and patient safety expectations.

Pay: NZD $250k-400k+

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: New Zealand

We are seeking an experienced Diagnostic and/or Interventional Radiologist to support the delivery of high-quality imaging, reporting, and procedural services across acute, elective, inpatient, and outpatient settings. This role will suit a clinician who enjoys working closely with multidisciplinary teams and contributing to timely diagnosis, clinical decision-making, and patient-focused care.

Role Overview
  • Provide expert interpretation and reporting of diagnostic imaging, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, and plain film radiography.
  • Perform and report on interventional radiology procedures, depending on subspecialty interest, experience, and service needs.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and support clinical decision-making.
  • Support acute and elective imaging services across inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Participate in on-call or after-hours reporting rosters as required by the service.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and clinically relevant reporting in line with accepted standards, protocols, and patient safety expectations.
  • Engage in quality assurance, audit, clinical governance, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Work collaboratively with radiology colleagues, referrers, clinical teams, and support staff to deliver efficient and high-quality imaging services.
Requirements
  • Eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
  • Fellowship or equivalent specialist qualification in Radiology, such as FRANZCR or an internationally recognised equivalent.
  • Experience in diagnostic radiology and / or interventional radiology, depending on the scope of the role.
  • Strong communication, clinical judgement, and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary heal
