Job summary

Global Wave Group is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You will collaborate with backend Java/Python and frontend React projects to ensure smooth deployment and performance, based in Albany, Auckland (office).

The role requires 3–5 years of DevOps/SRE or cloud experience, deep AWS knowledge, Kubernetes, Docker, scripting (Python/Bash), IaC (Terraform/Ansible), and strong problem-solving with Chinese language communication.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of dedicated DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering experience.
• Strong AWS proficiency (EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, etc.).
• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Proficient in Python or Bash scripting.
• Solid Linux/Windows administration and networking knowledge.
• Excellent problem-solving and agile teamwork; strong Chinese communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Architect and manage AWS-based infrastructure for high availability and cost-efficiency.
• Operate Kubernetes clusters and container image management.
• Build and maintain IaC using Terraform or Ansible.
• Develop monitoring/logging with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
• Collaborate with backend (Java/Python) and frontend (React) teams for deployment quality.
• Ensure DevSecOps practices and security/compliance.
