Job summary

Global Wave Group in Albany, Auckland is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to design, implement and maintain cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You will work closely with backend Java/Python and frontend React projects to ensure reliable deployments and optimal performance.

The role covers AWS, Kubernetes, IaC with Terraform/Ansible, scripting in Python or Bash, and monitoring with Prometheus/Grafana.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3–5 years of dedicated DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering experience.
• Strong experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or Bash).
• Solid Linux/Windows administration and networking knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and manage scalable AWS-based infrastructure with high availability and cost efficiency.
• Design and maintain Kubernetes clusters and container images; optimize orchestration strategies.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Tekton, ArgoCD, or GitHub Actions.
• Write and maintain IaC scripts with Terraform or Ansible.
• Develop and troubleshoot DevOps applications in Java, Python, and React JS environments.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
• Ensure security and compliance within DevSecOps practices.
