Job summary

New Zealand Police in Tasman invites applications for Casual Custody Officer positions. You will help manage detainee welfare across custody suites, court houses and during transit, in a role emphasizing dignity and care.

Training is provided, with costs covered, and psychometric testing is required as part of the process. The role is based in Blenheim with shifts across a 6:00am–3:00am window, including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Hold a full New Zealand Driver Licence.
• Be a New Zealand citizen or hold permanent residence.
• Be willing to complete a pre-employment Medical Assessment (including a drug test)
• Be able to work a variety of shifts between 6:00am and 3:00am, including weekends and public holidays.
• Flexibility is required as you may need to cover night shifts on a 6 on / 4 off roster.
