Mitre 10 MEGA Tauranga is seeking a Design Coordinator to join our Distribution Centre. You will coordinate multiple customer design projects from ordering through to delivery and installation, working closely with designers, suppliers, installers, stores, and customers.

The role requires strong organisational skills, exceptional communication, and a focus on delivering an outstanding customer experience across kitchens, bathrooms, wardrobes, laundries and other interior solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in project coordination, administration, customer service, retail, trade, logistics, or similar environment.
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Takes ownership and follows through on commitments.
• Proactive and solutions-focused when managing challenges or changing priorities.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and help customers bring their projects to life.
• Strong computer skills and confidence using Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating customer design projects from ordering through to completion.
• Managing supplier orders, deliveries, installations, and project timelines.
• Managing customer communication and support from order placement through to delivery and completion.
• Supporting Designers with order processing, supplier coordination, and project administration.
• Reviewing sales orders, specifications, quotations, and documentation for accuracy.
• Monitoring project milestones and proactively resolving issues, delays, or supplier challenges.
• Coordinating installers and service providers to ensure customer commitments are met.
• Maintaining accurate project records, tracking systems, and customer communications.
• Building strong relationships with customers, Designers, suppliers, installers, and internal teams.
• Delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring customers feel informed and supported throughout their project.
