Job summary

Health New Zealand is seeking a Design Assurance Manager to lead design governance and multi-disciplinary oversight across nationwide hospital and health infrastructure programmes. You will report to the Head of Engineering and Design, guiding project teams and stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant and high-quality design outcomes.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated governance, assurance and technical oversight across complex multi-disciplinary building infrastructure programmes.
• Experience managing design for large-scale building infrastructure projects, preferably healthcare.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of design assurance, governance and multi-disciplinary technical oversight activities.
• Provide expert advice on complex design, integration and assurance matters.
• Oversee design peer reviews, technical advisory services and independent assurance contracts.
• Embed standardisation, repeatable design solutions and Modern Methods of Construction.
