Job summary

NHS Scotland invites applications for a Senior Research Nurse – Dermatology (Band 6) at Lauriston Buildings. The role is a 2-year fixed term contract/secondment, 30 hours per week, to lead and grow clinical dermatology research activity.

The post holder will identify, screen and recruit participants, support related studies, and contribute to high-quality patient care within dermatology research. Training will be provided if dermatology experience is not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in clinical research.
• Dermatology experience desirable but training will be provided.
• PVG Scheme membership required for the post.
• Ability to work in the United Kingdom and meet legal eligibility to work.

Responsibilities

• Identify, screen and recruit participants for dermatology research projects.
• Lead on increasing clinical research activity within the team.
• Support care of research participants while they are in the studies.
