Job summary

New Zealand Clinical Research in Auckland and across NZ seeks a dedicated NZ Registered Nurse for a part-time, 0.5 FTE role (20 hours/week) on a fixed-term basis for 3 months. The role blends clinical study activities with participant education and safety oversight.

You will conduct venepuncture and other nursing procedures, ensure accurate documentation, and support the study team while upholding participant rights and protocol compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be a dedicated NZ Registered nurse.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Venepuncture and IV certification experience is preferred but not essential as training will be given.
• Excellent clinical practice skills.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage timeframes.
• Experience as a Research Nurse would be beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Clinical: perform study-related activities including venepuncture, ECGs, monitor vital signs, and other study-specific procedures.
• Ensure proper collection and processing of biological samples per protocol and SOPs.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with study protocol and ICH/GCP.
• Research: educate participants about study requirements, provide information, and advocate for participants.
• Assess participants prior to treatment, monitor during treatment, and complete follow-up per protocol.
• Record adverse events and serious adverse events during the trial.
